Matka Workshop Day 14 January 2026 – The largest travel trade event in Northern Europe
Matka Workshop Day brings together potential business partners for pre-scheduled meetings on Wednesday, 14 January 2026. The event provides an efficient and targeted platform for building international relationships and developing business in the travel industry.
The event consists of two tailored meeting concepts:
- Meet Finland, where Finnish service providers meet international tour operators
- Meet the World, an international meeting forum for global suppliers and buyers from Northern Europe
15-minute one-on-one meetings
Participants have the opportunity to present their company in 15-minute one-on-one meetings. Meeting requests can be made by both parties – suppliers and buyers alike.
Matka Workshop Day offers an excellent opportunity to increase international visibility, establish new partnerships, and kick-start business negotiations in a focused and effective way.
TWO TAILORED MEETING CONCEPTS:
MEET FINLAND
In the Meet Finland section, Finnish travel service providers meet both domestic and international tour operators. The goal of the meetings is to build new international business relationships and present travel products and services to interested buyers.
Participants arrange and confirm pre-scheduled, 15-minute one-on-one meetings in advance. All buyers are carefully screened – we invite the right people to ensure that you can focus on meaningful and productive encounters.
MEET THE WORLD
Meet the World is an international meeting forum where travel service providers from around the globe connect with buyers from Northern Europe. Finnish and Nordic tour operators discover new destinations, services, and products from abroad.
In addition to Finnish buyers, Meet the World also attracts travel industry professionals from neighbouring regions and across Europe, offering suppliers an excellent opportunity to increase their visibility in these markets.

Meeting place
Who can register as a buyer?
Buyers can include tour operators, travel agencies, online travel agents (OTAs), distribution channels and MICE professionals who are looking for new products and destinations and are involved in making or influencing purchasing decisions for travel services.
Participation
All participants go through a pre-registration and approval process.
The meetings are individual one-on-one sessions, each lasting 15 minutes.
Both buyers and suppliers can send meeting requests, and the recipient decides whether to accept or decline the request.
Kick-off to the Matka
Matka Workshop Day brings together key decision-makers from across the global travel industry, offering an efficient platform for building international business relationships. It is an excellent opportunity to showcase your products, network, and establish partnerships in pre-scheduled, 15-minute one-on-one meetings.
You’ll meet carefully selected buyers who are genuinely interested in the products and services you offer. Matka Workshop Day also serves as the opening day of Matka 2026 – a chance to continue conversations and explore the wider offering during the trade and public days of the event.
Matka Workshop Day 2026: participation and prices
- Participation in Matka 2026 Workshop Day requires also participation in Matka Travel Fair 2026 as main or co-exhibitor.
- Stand of 4m² (only in Matka Business Forum) allows you to purchase one table, stands between 6-9 m² allow you to purchase two tables, 10-30 m² allow you to purchase six tables and with stands larger than 30 m² table number is according to agreement. A co-exhibitor may purchase one table.
- Number of international suppliers in Global Workshop (Meet the World) is limited to 10 per country, on a first come, first served basis.
- Price includes: one sales table on Workshop Day, two representatives from the same company, one company profile, two person and product profiles, two calendars (can be combined), use of matchmaking tool, and also: electricity, wi-fi, lunch, coffee and possible after party.
- The invoicing surcharge is €25 per invoice. The surcharge is applied if company information is modified after confirmation or if the participation invoice is split among multiple companies.
Pre-scheduling meetings with registered buyers for fair days is possible according to your exhibitor status. If you are a fulltime exhibitor, you can use matchmaking tool to schedule meetings for both 14-15 January 2026, too. If you only exhibit on Matka Trade Day, you can use matchmaking tool to schedule meetings for Thursday 15 January only. All scheduled meetings on fair day(s) will be held on exhibitor’s own stand.
How to participate
Please contact Inkeri Vainik: inkeri.vainik@messukeskus.com. We will contact all exhibitors who have ordered participation in Matka Workshop Day in order for supplier to create a profile. Registration will be opened in October 2025.
- If you represent tour operator, travel agent, distribution channel or MICE operator, you are involved in initiating or authorizing purchasing decisions on travel-related products and services, and you are a potential business partner to participating suppliers, you are welcome to attend as a buyer. Buyer applications can be made as of October 2025. All applications are subject to organizer’s validation.
- Validated buyers can participate free of charge but travel costs and stay in Helsinki are on buyer’s own expense, unless participating a possible hosted buyer programme which is ‘by invitation only’ and managed by main event partners.
Cancellation policy
The exhibitor shall have the right to cancel the participation in Matka Workshop Day within seven (7) days of receiving confirmation from the Organizer. Meet Finland
Until October 9, 2025: €1,610 + VAT
Starting from October 10, 2025: €2,135 + VAT
Please note: If two companies share a table, extra fee of 800 euro + VAT applies per table. Table is invoiced from one company.
Meet the World
Until October 9, 2025: €1,150 + VAT
Starting from October 10, 2025: €1,580 + VAT
